Our Mission Statement

We create an enduring tribute to Canada’s medical heroes who through discovery and innovation have contributed to improved health in Canada and around the world. Through the celebration of our laureates and the delivery of education programs, we inspire the pursuit of careers in health sciences fostering future innovators and leaders.

Established in 1994 and located in London Ontario, The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame is a national charitable organization that carries out its mission through:

• an exhibit hall that features a laureate portrait gallery
• induction ceremonies held annually
• educational opportunities for thousands of students across Canada (Discovery Days, Museum School and our Scholarship Program)

Canada is privileged to count so many of its medical pioneers and leaders among those at the forefront of international research and medical practice. Tonight, we honour a new group of outstanding professionals, each of whom is instrumental in advancing the frontiers of medicine and patient care in Canada.

Doctors treat the sick, comfort the wounded, and perform miracles every day. It is therefore, no surprise that, as a society, we take every opportunity to thank them for their tireless efforts, their creativity and their compassion. I wish everyone an enjoyable ceremony and encourage you to pursue your efforts to support the next generation of medical heroes.
