The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame (CMHF) celebrates Canadian heroes whose work advances health in Canada and the world. We foster future generations of health professionals through the delivery of local and national youth education programs and awards. This enduring tribute to our country’s rich medical history is showcased on our virtual hall at www.cdnmedhall.org and in an exhibit hall in London, ON.

Current Strategic Priorities include:

  • Increasing our national profile with new and existing stakeholders
  • Bringing the inspirational stories of the Laureates to identified target markets in a way that is meaningful to them
  • Building capacity to enable a robust future

Position Description: The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame is looking for strategic thinkers to join our Board of Directors. To ensure the best possible national representation and decision-making environment, importance will be given to diversity of board members in areas such as geographic location, health discipline, ethnicity, race, culture, gender, age and areas of expertise and experience.

Time Commitment: Term Length: 3 years; May serve up to two terms

Board Meetings: Four times per year

  • January (teleconference)
  • April or May (in person following the Induction Ceremony which occurs in rotating cities across the country
  • June (teleconference)
  • October (in person on London, Ontario)

 Committees: All board members are asked to serve on at least one standing commi

 Deadline to Apply:   Thursday, February 28th
