Four high school graduates with stellar academic careers are heading off to university this fall as this year’s winners of The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame / Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life Scholarship Award.

The 2012 scholarship recipients were selected by a committee of university representatives chosen by the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada. They are:

• John Balloch of Riverview NB
• Elizabeth Lee of Belleville ON
• Troy Neilson of Edmonton AB
• Katalina Smith of St. Lambert QC

Each student will receive $1,000 per year to help lighten their financial load as they pursue their four-year undergraduate degree.
