Discovery Days – Opening Windows of Opportunity

Discovery Days are one-day workshops that give secondary school students and teachers the opportunity to explore a variety of career options in medicine and the health sciences. Held at universities and colleges across Canada, these inspirational days are comprised of a dynamic keynote lecture, two hands-on workshops and a career panel discussion. Students gain a clear picture of what it would be like to be a health professional by interacting with researchers, clinicians and educators in their real-life work setting.

“The overall value of Discovery Day was amazing! Very insightful, informative and intriguing. It made me realize that there are more windows of opportunity out there than I ever imagined.”
Grade 11 student, Edmonton AB
