Discovery Days are one-day workshops that give secondary school students and teachers the opportunity to explore a variety of career options in medicine and the health sciences.

We currently offer Discovery Days at:

A Discovery Day is comprised of a dynamic keynote lecture, hands-on workshops and a career panel discussion. Students gain a clear picture of what it would be like to be a health professional by interacting with researchers, clinicians and educators in their real-life work setting.

WHAT WE ARE HEARING ABOUT THE PROGRAM...
“Growing up in rural Newfoundland there was no exposure to the wide variety of fields within health care and medicine. I distinctly remember the anatomy lab at my first Discovery Day at Memorial University. It was amazing! It sparked my interest in a heath care career and led me to where I am now. I am so grateful that I was given that opportunity.”  Student, St. John's NL

"On behalf of my class I would like to thank you so much for the BEST field trip I have ever been on!!!!! We all had such a great time and learned sooo much! We really look forward to attending next year. Thanks for all the work you and your team put in to making the event happen."  Teacher, Edmonton AB
