Faculty, researchers, health care providers and medical/health sciences students are invited to share their knowledge and passion for studying and working in the health care field by conducting an interactive / hands-on workshop. Workshops with a hands-on, interactive component are preferred by students and are more effective in priming them for a life-long interest in the health sciences.
Workshops are conducted in the morning and in the afternoon (see “Session Availability” below for this particular event). Presenters can choose to offer a workshop in one or both sessions (same workshop presented to two different groups of students).
The number of students in each workshop is determined by the workshop presenter.
Workshop presenters are responsible for booking an appropriate lab, clinic or classroom. However, assistance is available for those who are do not have access to host site room bookings (please advise of space and A/V requirements below).
Four high school graduates with stellar academic careers are heading off to university this fall as this year’s winners of The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame / Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life Scholarship Award.
